This class provides each student an opportunity to connect the body, mind and spirit. Each class incorporates pranayama (breathing techniques) asanas (physical postures) and relaxation/meditation. Moving the body to the breath will ensure you leave feeling calm and centered. Various options are offered throughout, making this class suitable for both beginners and experienced yogis
Yin yoga is a passive floor-based practice. Postures are held for 3-5 minutes to target the connective tissues of the body (ligaments, joints, facia) that aren’t normally exercised in an active asana practice. It is based on traditional Chinese meridian theory and is believed to clear energy blockages in the body. This class is suitable for all levels, and those with physical limitations
A gentle yoga class suitable for those who have experienced trauma. The intention of this class is to create an empowering environment through mindfulness where practitioners can cultivate kind and gentle awareness of body sensations and feelings *Not a replacement of treatment from mental health clinicians and other allied health professionals
Restorative yoga is a gentle and passive yoga practice. Props including bolsters, blankets, eye pillows and blocks are used to support the body, so you can comfortable stay in the postures from 5-15 minutes, allowing complete surrender. This class facilitates full and deep relaxation, helping to rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. This class is suitable for all bodies. Beginners and those with limitations are welcome
